A rhinestone template maker app you do not have to install

The maker is a web app. That means no store download, no update prompts, no account, and the same file whether you open it on a laptop or a phone.

Short answer

It runs as a web app in Safari, Chrome or Edge, on phone, tablet or desktop: no install, no account, no update. Add it to your home screen for a full-screen icon. You do not need a dedicated rhinestone machine — a vinyl cutter or a printer plus a craft knife is enough.

Open the free maker

Type a name or drop an image. True-size SVG and a printable PDF, no account.

What “app” means here: a browser, not an install

The maker is a page, not a packaged download. It runs in Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox, on iOS, Android, Windows or macOS.

What that buys you:

What it costs you is offline use: the maker needs the page loaded. Once loaded it keeps working while you edit, but a cold start needs a connection.

Add the maker to your home screen

On a phone, the app you want is a shortcut that opens full screen without browser chrome.

iPhone or iPad (Safari): open the maker, tap the Share button, then “Add to Home Screen”.

Android (Chrome): open the maker, tap the three-dot menu, then “Add to Home screen” or “Install app”.

Either way you get an icon that behaves like an app, and the design you were working on is still there when you come back to the tab.

A phone is fine for designing on the sofa. Cutting and printing still happen at a desk.

Do you need a dedicated rhinestone machine?

No, and this is the most common misunderstanding in the subject. A rhinestone template is a sheet with holes cut in it, so you need something that cuts holes and something that prints at true size.

Buy the template material before you buy any machine. A roll of mylar and a $0.20 sheet of template film is the whole consumable cost.

Why there is no App Store version

A store app would add an install, a review cycle and two codebases for the same geometry, in exchange for nothing the browser cannot do.

It would also make the small parts worse: the export is a file download, the print is a system dialog, and both already work natively in the browser. A packaged app would have to reimplement them.

If offline use becomes the deciding feature for enough people, that calculus changes. Until then the browser version is the honest one.

Questions

Is there an app I can download for rhinestone templates?

This maker installs nothing: it runs in the browser on phone, tablet or desktop, and can be added to your home screen. Designs are made and exported from the same page.

Does it work on an iPhone?

Yes, in Safari or Chrome. Designing and exporting work; importing into Cricut Design Space is a desktop job, so the SVG has to move to a computer before cutting.

Can I use it without internet?

Not from a cold start: the page has to load once. After that, editing and exporting keep working in the open tab, which is enough for a whole design session.

Do I need a Cricut to use the app?

No. The export is a standard SVG, so it works with Silhouette Studio, a laser, or a printer and a craft knife. The SVG contains one circle per stone at real millimetre dimensions.
